We live in an 85-year-old building with some original fixtures. Since we moved into the building 15 years ago, I had been putting off some plumbing issues which should have been addressed at least 15 years before we moved in. I was hoping that things could wait until I retired and then we could do a complete reno. Such was not to be, and my significant other was very displeased to put it mildly.

I reached out to several plumbers suggested by our property manager. None of them seemed very interested in the work. I suppose they were all too aware of the challenges which older buildings can present. I then reached out to several more plumbers after doing some online searching.

Dr. Pipe got back to me with an estimate within an hour of my uploading to their contact page a description of the work needed along with photos. They said they could have a plumber out to me the following morning.

I was very impressed by Elvis, the plumber who showed up shortly after 9:00 the next morning. Whenever there was an issue, he would clearly explain what the issue was and the ways in which it could be addressed without attempting to sway me one way or the other. He was very conscientious and had an incredible work ethic. Although it was going to be a two-day job, rather than stopping at 5:00 on the first day, Elvis worked until 8:00 in the evening to ensure that we had a functioning toilet and water in our kitchen.

Would definitely recommend Dr. Pipe to anyone in need of a plumber. Not only did they fix our plumbing issues, they also saved my marriage.

We had a challenging issue with our shower that Elvis at Dr. Pipe resolved for us. He took an photo of the part needed and I thought that I’d never hear about it again, but Elvis tracked down the part and followed up! Our house has just turned 20 years old and several plumbing issues have cropped up. I always get great and prompt service from Max and Elvis.

Having lived in the same house for 30 years, I know every inch of it—and I’ve seen all kinds of work done here: some excellent, some... less so. I could easily write a three-page essay about my incredible experience with Mr. Pipe, but I’ll keep it brief. From my first meeting with Elvis and Justin, to the phone call I made to Max just to sing their praises and book the job, all the way through to the final results—this was quite possibly the best experience I’ve ever had with a trades team, especially as a female homeowner.

Sidebar: If you’re a handy gal who owns a home, you’ve probably dealt with the all-too-familiar “old boys’ club” attitude. Get ready for a refreshing change. With Dr. Pipe, you’ll be treated with professionalism and respect.

Elvis and the team were professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. They did everything I wish contractors always would—but over the years, I’ve learned to lower my expectations after too many letdowns. My usual mindset? Hire someone, then prepare to clean up the mess afterward. Not this time.

They tackled a serious toilet/sewage/cast iron stack issue and turned it into a clean, functional setup with impressive speed and top-notch workmanship. They delivered exactly what was promised—and then some. Highly recommended!
