This is a review of Maxim Osadchyi Maxim Osadchyi P.Eng. Dr. Pipe Drain and Plumbing Services Division of Osmaks Inc. If I could give a zero stars. I would. I hired Dr. Pipe (Osmaks) in October 2023 to install two alcove-style bathtub, and tub trim, faucet and shower head in my two bathrooms. I told Maksim and Ron (his son) that after they were done, I had a tile installer booked to do the tile around the tub. During the job, they didn’t level/shim the tub, didn’t level/center the shower head line, ripped out the floor plank in front of one tub (but not the second one), and destroyed baseboards (see attached pictures). Generally, left my bathrooms a disaster. When my tile installer came to do the tile job, he notified me that the tubs were not level. I immediately contacted Dr. Pipe and Maksim gave me every excuse in the book (my floor was not straight, etc.). Although he offers “emergency 24-hour service”, he couldn’t be bothered to send someone to level my tub until Monday. Hence, my tile installer could not finish his job and I was left without the use of both my bathtubs for over a week. After work in my basement, I had water flooding. Not once, but twice. Destroyed my brand new vanity that Dr. Pipe installed. Disrupted my tenant. Still no resolution to the damaged vanity. Maxim Osadchyi also took $150 for the installation of the shower trim and I had to pause the project for some time. Texted him that I would let him know when he could come back to finish. No response. Then when I reached out to finish the trim or refund the $150, he refused to do either. Scamming me out of $150. I do not recommend this company due to their unethical behaviour.
Response from the owner:Dear Alexandra, Thank you for your review. On October 17 and 18, 2023, we installed and tested two bathtubs at your property. Two days later, you contacted us regarding concerns about one of the tubs. During that conversation, you used abusive language and slurs, which we do not tolerate. You also relayed concerns raised by your tile and drywall contractor, whom you later dismissed, regarding the tub allegedly being out of level. On October 23, 2023, I personally attended the site to inspect your concerns. My inspection confirmed that the bathtub had been installed level. The photographs from that visit show a properly leveled tub, while the surrounding drywall and wall surfaces were uneven and not level. You withheld $100 for the installation of the faucet trim in the second bathroom because you had terminated your tile and drywall contractor, and there was no confirmed timeline for the completion of the remaining work. Our last site visit and conversation occurred in October 2023, nearly three years ago. Since that time, we have not received any further complaints or reports of problems related to our work. As more than two years and eight months have passed since the project began, and the delays resulted from the site not being ready for completion on your end, we consider the agreement inactive and the project closed. Our records indicate that the remaining installation work could not proceed due to incomplete site preparations. Accordingly, we cannot accept responsibility for the resulting delays or provide any reimbursement. Sincerely, Maxim Osadchyi, P.Eng.
Elvis did excellent job! Responded in a professional and polite manner to all my questions. I would recommend "Osmaks" to everybody without any reservation. Thank you, guys!
Response from the owner:Thank you Mikhail for your business. Sincerely, Max and Elvis

I had drain problems with my sink; they came out to fix it – but the problem persisted. I called them and they came out again to check. However, instead of trying again and doing a better job they said they would charge me the full amount again if they were to repeat the procedure. Really?!
Response from the owner:We are sorry to hear about your experience. Our goal is always to resolve the issue properly and provide clear communication about the work involved. In some cases, drain problems can have underlying causes that require further inspection or a different solution than the initial service, but we understand how frustrating this situation must have felt. Please contact us directly so we can review what happened and work toward a fair resolution. We value your feedback and the opportunity to make things right.

I received this name from a friend who was very happy with their job. I contacted them mid- morning Friday for a toilet that kept running. They told me they would be here between 1-4.Elvis arrived – punctual, professional, respectful and such a lovely person. He explained all about my toilet, as they are all different, and told me what had to be done. Of course I went ahead. He worked quickly, cleanly and at reasonable price. He checked the replaced part twice to make sure it was operating properly. Make sure you make note of this company and phone number. You will be very glad you did. Thank you Elvis for a great job. You guys are terrific. Julie Taylor
Response from the owner:Hi, Julie. It was our pleasure to help you with the toilet. Thank you for your business. Contact us any time you need plumbing service. Sincerely, Dr. Pipe.

Did you know that the average person uses 85 rolls of toilet paper annually? That figure is based on regular rolls containing 150 sheets each.

One way to cut down on toilet paper expenditures that are literally flushed down the drain is to install a bidet. It’s an eco-friendly, money-saving option.

Pros of Installing a Bidet in Your Bathroom

Expand all

Improved Hygiene

  • Using a bidet ensures a more thorough and sanitary cleaning, because using toilet paper alone may not provide the same level of cleanliness.

  • Modern bidets feature luxurious options like adjustable water temperature, heated seating, and air drying.

Cost Reductions

  • Lessening your household’s reliance on toilet paper can save you money weekly, monthly, and annually.

If you’ve never bought a bidet before, you’re in for a surprise. There are many different bidet models available — so, you’re bound to find something that suits your needs. What follows are two common types of bidets:

  • Traditional (Porcelain) Bidets: Traditional bidets — manufactured from porcelain — are wall-mounted, free-standing, or floor-mounted fixtures. Another popular option for homeowners is handheld bidets. They connect to your toilet’s water supply.
  • Toilet Seat Bidets: Toilet seat bidets are attachments that transform your ordinary toilet into an extraordinary bidet with high-tech features like adjustable settings and heated water. Bidet toilet seats will take your toilet to another level of functionality.

Enjoy the comfort, hygiene, and eco-friendly benefits of a bidet with professional installation from Dr. Pipe. Contact us today or schedule your consultation online!

What Bidet Options Are on the Market?

When seeking to upgrade your bathroom with a bidet, you’ll see there are various kinds to choose from. They include the following:

  • Floor-Mounted Units or Wall-Mounted: Floor- and wall-mounted models are standalone bidets installed close to your toilets.
  • Toilet Seat Bidets: These are installed onto your existing toilet seat and can include features such as air drying and heated water.
  • Bidet Hoses: Bidet hoses connect to your existing toilet.

Do you need help deciding which type or types are best for the bathroom or bathrooms in your residence? Contact Dr. Pipe for professional recommendations on how to choose, available features, and installation costs.

Do You Require Extra Plumbing for a Bidet?

While extra plumbing work may not be required to install a bidet in your bathroom, it could be. Standalone units, for example, usually need separate water lines and drainage. If you want to avoid the extra cost associated with extra plumbing work, consider bidet-toilet combos that are designed for easier installation.

Bidet Installation Service Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Bidets are getting more attention from sea to sea in the Great White North. Keep reading to see some of the most common frequently asked questions about bidets and bidet installation services. If you have any questions not addressed in the FAQs, contact us at Dr. Pipe.

Do I Require a Plumber to Install a Bidet?

If you’ve installed a toilet successfully before, a simple bidet might not be too difficult. You can, however, count on a licensed plumbing professional to get it done right. Whether there’s a need to perform plumbing repairs or work on plumbing fixtures, Dr. Pipe will provide the expert bidet installation service you require. Standalone bidets are another kettle of fish compared to simpler models and always require professional installation.

Can I Add a Bidet to My Existing Toilet?

The short answer is a resounding, “Yes!” Many bidet models are designed to connect to your existing toilet and often come with a spray arm near the toilet seat. Such models are cost-effective, relatively simple to install, and are more convenient than standalone models.

Do You Need an Electrician to Put in a Bidet?

The answer to that question depends on the sort of bidet you purchase. Electric bidets require electrical outlets to operate as intended. Depending on the configuration of your bathroom, an electrician might be required. When going with a non-electric bidet, you’ll also need plumbing work. Give us a call at Dr. Pipe to discuss your specific needs.

Can I Install a Bidet on Any Toilet?

Not all bidet models are compatible with all toilet models. You should consider factors like the shape of the toilet seat, the size, and the water supply connections.

Why Would a Bidet Stop Working?

Common causes of such issues include:

    • Faulty valves

    • Loose fittings

    • Poor water supply connection

    • Clogged nozzles

If troubleshooting fails to rectify the matter, you can count on Dr. Pipe to assist with professional repairs to fix any plumbing issues.

Do You Need Good Water Pressure for a Bidet?

It’s essential to have proper water pressure if you want your bidet to operate as it should. If there’s a low-water-pressure issue, the bidet’s performance will be jeopardized. You can avoid unnecessary issues by double-checking the manufacturer’s pressure recommendations.

Why Has My Bidet Quit Working?

Mechanical or electrical problems are usually behind a malfunctioning bidet. If troubleshooting on your part doesn’t work, Dr. Pipe can identify and fix the issues.

Why Is My Bidet Leaking?

Just like you don’t want your toilet leaking, you don’t want your bidet leaking. If the latter occurs, do the following:

    • Ensure the water supply is set to an adequate pressure.

    • Clear the drainage hole.

    • Check for hose blockages or kinks.

If performing these steps doesn’t stop the leak, contact Dr. Pipe for professional assistance. Our licensed plumbers will perform quick and affordable bidet repairs in Toronto and the GTA.

Are Bidets More Sanitary Than Wiping with Toilet Paper?

The short answer is, “Yes.” Using a bidet rather than toilet paper is a more hygienic option. Bidets also offer a more extensive cleaning than toilet paper.

Can I Install a Bidet Independently?

If you buy a bidet that connects to an existing toilet, DIY installation is a possibility. It’s still best to call a company like Dr. Pipe for bidet or toilet installation, however. A licensed plumber is a must if you buy a standalone bidet or a model requiring extra plumbing.
