Testimonials from our clients

Very happy with the work that I done today to fix some issues that were causing a nuisance. Elvis did an amazing job. He was prompt, thorough, kind and explained his process in detail which I appreciate very much as a first time home owner who doesn't know a whole lot about plumbing/home repairs. Would highly recommend and I'm keeping the contact information saved in case of future needs (I hope that won't be the case) Thanks Elvis!
Response from the owner:Thank you so much, Mika, for such a great review. It was a pleasure for us to read it! Thanks for the recommendations as well.
Had a clog in the pipe under my kitchen sink. Elvis was very nice and informative in explaining the situation on what the issue was and how to further prevent it in the future. The service to fix the problem was quick and not a big mess. Highly recommended.
Response from the owner:Thank you for sharing your positive review. Let us know if we can help you. Sincerely, Dr. Pipe.
I am beyond happy with the toilet replacement service done by Elvis! He was very nice, explained everything. It's an old house, so not 100% standard and required some elbow grease. He put in a great effort, not just with the replacement, but cleaning the area, and dealing with some tricky parts. The price was also very fair. I would definitely recommend or call again. Thank you, Elvis!!
Response from the owner:Thank you for the good review. Let us know if you need more plumbing work. Sincerely, Max and Elvis
Elvis was great! He came the same day and fixed everything so quickly. Highly recommend
Response from the owner:Hi Cheryl. Thank you for your business. Always pleasure to work for you. Sincerely, Max and Elvis
Can’t say enough good things about this company. Professional, courteous, and really good at what they do. Most importantly, they do professional work for a reasonable rate, unlike most plumbers in town. Add these guys to your Rolodex and forget the rest.
Response from the owner:Kobra, thank you for sharing your positive review! It's very important for us to read such great words. It was a pleasure to help you. Always yours, Dr. Pipe.
Elvis was great, was very respectful, knew what he was doing, very thorough, even retested twice. He put away things back under the sink that he didn’t move, great plumber and would use again, because of Elvis.
Response from the owner:Thank you, DJ Short, for your kind review! We are here to help you with any plumbing-related issues! Best regards, Dr. Pipe Drain and Plumbing Services.
Elvis did excellent work on what I thought was a sewer drain problem but turned out to be something else. After the first visit, Elvis explained to me in detail his thought process, including drawing diagrams for me on his phone, and gave his recommendations. He then came out for a second visit to install a new toilet and check the drain line, which improved my initial toilet plumbing issue. The work was done carefully, cleanly, and Elvis satisfied my curiosity by answering all my questions while he was doing his work. In the end I feel I can trust these guys to just do work that is required, while keeping my informed, so I understand the what, why, and how. High recommendations from me.
Response from the owner:William Ryu, thank you for your business! Dr. Pipe is really appreciate your review. We were happy to help you. Have a good day!

What Is a Sewer Scope Inspection?

A drain line inspection, also called sewer line video inspection, sewer scope inspection, cctv is what the name implies; it is an inspection conducted inside your sewage system. First, a professional plumber attaches a camera to a durable and flexible waterproof device connected to a cable. Then, the plumber directs the camera through the pipe. That enables them to view the condition of the line through the use of a monitor.

Video camera inspection is one of the newest, greatest tools in the plumbing industry. These are waterproof cameras that are specially made for such purposes. Drain line video inspection allows us to check your drain pipes to diagnose existing problems or to prevent them from happening.

Video Inspection Process:

  • Our professional technician starts by entering a flexible rod with a high-resolution camera into the sewer line.
  • Our technician will determine the state of your drain line in real time while watching the video feed on the monitor
  • A technician will be able to diagnose the drain problem and recommend suggested solutions that can range from simple drain snake to replacing the drain
  • We then provide you with both recorded video of the drain and still images

Benefits of Drain Line Video Inspection:

  • You are able to identify drain problems without digging up your yard
  • Preventive video inspection can help you to identify issues before they happen

When to Use Drain Line Video Inspection?

A video inspection will help to determine:

Drain Problems

  • A video inspection will help to determine: Corroded Pipes; Identify obstructions such as tree roots; Punctured, Broken or Misaligned drain lines; Off-Grade Pipes

Preventative Maintenance

  • The fact is, you just don’t know what’s going on inside your pipes. If your home is brand new, old, recently renovated or otherwise, your pipes are often a mystery. A camera inspection takes the mystery away and puts the knowledge of what’s happening in your hands. With only a small investment of time and money, you’ll be able to save yourself a lot of time, hassle and money in the long run.  You’ll see any trouble spots firsthand and our team of professional plumbers will be able to help you determine the best course of action.

Home Inspection

  • Use video inspection to identify any current and future problems with the home you are trying to buy. Real estate in Toronto is expensive as it is, don’t get stuck with expensive plumbing repairs or reduce the price of the home.

Why Plumbing Camera Inspection is the Most Effective Leak & Blockage Detection Tool

Drain line video inspection

The key to ensuring your pipes and drains are working at their best is early detection of problems and blockages. This is often difficult to do from the outside because many of your pipes are in walls, in cement or underground. If a clog or a leak occurs it can be extremely inconvenient and costly to repair.

Inspection with a plumbing camera can ensure your drains are flowing smoothly and enhance the lifespan and performance of all your pipes by spotting issues early and allowing them to be dealt with before they become large, disruptive problems. Camera inspection takes the guesswork out of figuring out what’s wrong. That means less digging, less mess and less cost for you.

Why Choose Dr.Pipe for Your Video Inspection?

  • Fully licensed and insured plumbing company in Toronto and GTA
  • A vast amount of experience with all of the drain problems that clog Toronto. The experience helps us with the proper diagnoses and suggested solutions
  • Trenchless Drain Repair capabilities

FAQs

1. What is a drain line video inspection?
A drain line video inspection uses an advanced camera attached to a flexible cable that is fed into your sewer or drain pipe. As the camera moves through the line, it sends live video to a monitor so a technician can see blockages, cracks, roots, or other issues that are hidden inside the pipes without digging.
2. Why should I get a video inspection of my drain line?
A video inspection is the most precise way to diagnose plumbing problems. Using an advanced camera system, plumbers can directly view the inside of your pipes, allowing them to accurately identify issues like stubborn blockages, cracks, and root intrusions. Traditional methods may miss these hidden problems, leading to guesswork and unnecessary digging. With video inspection, you avoid the guesswork, minimize excavation, and save time and money by getting to the root cause quickly. This means faster, more accurate repairs with less disruption to your home or property.
3. When is a drain camera inspection recommended?
If you have recurring clogs, slow drainage, foul odours, or suspect damage to your sewer line, a video inspection can pinpoint the cause. It’s also recommended as part of preventive maintenance or before purchasing a home so you know the true condition of the plumbing system before problems develop.
4. Is a video drain inspection invasive?
No. A video inspection is non‑invasive and does not require digging up your yard or breaking through walls. The camera is inserted through an existing clean‑out or drain point, and the entire process typically takes a couple of hours depending on the length and complexity of the system.
5. What happens after the inspection?
After the camera inspection, the technician reviews the footage and explains the condition of your pipes. You’ll get a detailed diagnosis with findings and recommended next steps, whether that’s cleaning, repair, or replacement. This documentation helps you make informed decisions about solving your plumbing issues.
