If you look at the place that you are most likely to spend your time in the home, chances are that your kitchen is right up there. This leads us to reason that you can make your life much easier if you had your kitchen set up to be easier to use and more organized. That is why we have these suggestions on how to organize your kitchen.
Start by empting your cabinets
For those who are afraid of a mess, this might seem a little intimidating. However, you would be surprised how many food items you have laying around that you will never end up using or how many bowls that you have not used in more than a decade. Be ruthless when organizing, if you do not have a use for it – donate it or toss it away.
Group similar items together
OK, you have emptied your cabinets…now you have to make sure that you group items together. The reason that you do this is because piling those items together is going to be more organized in the end, because products will be where you naturally expect them to be. If you have glassware that you only use once or twice a year, it would not make sense to have this amongst your daily dishes now would it?
Make sure that you use your vertical space
You can use the space underneath your cabinets to hang a stemware rack or hold mugs above your countertop. Just place hooks underneath, and you are good to go. Added benefit, it opens up a great deal of cabinet space. You can even use a ceiling rack or wall space to hang pots and pans.
Store your items in clear containers
If you use a clear container, you have a quick overview of what is going on inside of your cabinets. If you bundle together similar small things, you do not have to worry about them being scattered all over the place.
